Welcome to Couleur Café, a delightful café nestled in the heart of Brooklyn at 435 7th Ave. With its warm ambiance and charming decor, this local gem offers a cozy retreat from the bustling city. Known for its expertly crafted menu, Couleur Café tantalizes patrons with a mix of classic French pastries, hearty brunch options, and delectable desserts.
The café's charm begins with its brunch menu, featuring a selection of mouthwatering quiches such as the Fromage de Chêvre filled with goat cheese, sautéed spinach, and tomato, as well as the classic Lorraine with gruyère and bacon, each priced at US$18. Couleur Café also shines in its patisserie offerings, where freshly baked croissants and pastries take center stage. The delicate Croissant at just US$4.50, and the indulgent Pain au Chocolat are must-tries, promising a flaky texture that melts in your mouth.
Don't skip the desserts! The Creme Brûlée and Mousse au Chocolat, both priced at US$11, are heavenly endings to your meal. Customers rave about the attention to detail with every dish; reviews consistently highlight the quality and presentation that elevate each dining experience. Patrons like Adam Bundy have praised the café for its exceptional staff and delicious food, calling it a place where amazing experiences are born.
Melodie, another satisfied diner, recounted her delightful brunch experience, where she followed the waiter’s recommendation to try the organic lamb merguez sausage, which she declared delicious. The accompanying fries and salad added to the charm, making it clear that Couleur Café is not just about food; it's about a complete culinary experience. Jeffer Sonian's review echoed this sentiment, proposing that if ratings went beyond 5, Couleur Café would undoubtedly achieve a perfect score due to its meticulous offerings like the Salad Nicoise and the Saumon Fume Croissant.
I am particularly fond of the warm, freshly baked croissants that greet early risers each morning. Liem, a regular, emphasizes the joy of indulging in a still-warm croissant, perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy within. The aroma of fresh coffee fills the air, enhancing the cozy atmosphere, making it the ideal spot to start your day or enjoy a leisurely brunch with friends or family.
Couleur Café stands out not only as a local favorite but also as a testament to quality and charm in a city that often rushes past. Whether you’re grabbing an early breakfast, savoring brunch with friends, or indulging in a sweet treat after lunch, this café encapsulates the essence of your next great culinary adventure. I highly recommend a visit to Couleur Café—it’s a small space filled with big flavors and even bigger smiles.

My friend and I went out for brunch and stopped by Couleur Café. As usual, I like to ask the waiter for recommendations and I’ll more often than not go with it. They recommended the Organic lamb merguez sausage. It was delicious and the first time I ever tried lamb sausage. The fries were crisp, salad was yummy and eggs were good. It’s a rather small and cozy place. I hope to be back again someday.

Once in a while, I wish Google ratings went from 1 to 10, because I often give restaurants a 5 of 5 when the really should get a 9 of 10. I like to be generous when rating an establishment, so I round up. Couleur Cafe would get a 10 of 10. We came here for a late Saturday brunch with a party of 3. We had a Salad Nicoise, Kale and Butternut Squash Salad, Saumon Fume Croissant as our mains, plus Creme Brûlée, Mousse au Chocolat, three Cappuccinos and 3 Moroccan Mint teas. Every single one of those things were delightful, especially the Salmon Croissant and Salad Nicoise. The small room is cheerful and the staff is friendly and attentive.

This is a long-time staple in the neighborhood when many businesses have shuttered… which is proof that this is a very good cafe. First, the croissants are made fresh in the morning, I’ve been here early and have gotten them as they are warm and it’s incredible. Slice Test: see video of a fresh croissant being sliced with the crispy, crunchy flakes breaking off. You can’t get that with a stale, spongy croissant. Great coffee and other breakfast items like quiche or more traditional fare if you want eggs and potatoes. There are healthy options like oatmeal or granola with Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. Great place to take out-of-towners for a nice breakfast / brunch. Best to go early to avoid lines. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time visiting New York, wanted to try something fresh & new & stumbled across this quaint little cafè. I had a sandwich with homemade chips & that was delicious, hot & fresh. The ambiance is welcoming & the service top notch. You are greeted with smiles from you enter the door. You can opt to dine in or outside. The grapefruit mimosa was delicious, it was really refreshing. I would most definitely be back before my trip is over

Really great experience. Service was attentive and fast. The food was fresh, delicious. Coffee hit the spot on this early Sunday morning. And the music was just right, not too loud not too soft with a good lively playlist. I will be returning in the future .
